Eric Holmes (1960-2014) was always fascinated by the urban landscape of New York City. He attended public schools on Staten Island and while in high school, he picked up a camera for the first time. Later he studied photography at SVA, and in the years that followed, while making his living as a carpenter and woodworker, he never left his camera out of reach. In capturing the beauty of the City from panorama to minutia, order and balance were the key components he sought, and appreciation of the beauty in our daily lives. www.holmesworks.com
